Take a minute to think about the unusual climate changes that have occurred in your city/town, state, and/or country.

If you thought about the various natural disasters, such as hurricanes, wildfires, tornadoes, tsunamis, and/or earthquakes, awesome! Some of these disasters, such as earthquakes and tsunamis are not human made. However, there are hurricanes, wildfires, and tornadoes that can be created by humans.

The Notable Change in Global Warming.

Throughout the historical period, Earth has seen a wave of temperatures rising and cooling. However, in recent years, we have seen an immense rise in the temperature in every season: summers starting earlier, winters being warmer, and the changes in animal patterns.

In post-industrial society, consumerism has taken a toll on Earth’s natural habitats. Oceans are polluted by oils and plastics, ocean acidification might permanently harm the coral and marine ecosystems, and the ozone layer depletion is occurring at a faster rate, which causes increases in temperatures and exposures to harmful radiation.

What are wildfires?

Wildfires are uncontrolled fires that occur on wild plants. A specific area that is famously targeted for wildfires in the United States is on the West Coasts, especially in California. Usually, these wildfires are started but cigarette buds or other flammable substances such as matchsticks with plant oils erupts into toxic flames.

What are hurricanes?

Hurricanes are natural disasters that are often created by warm ocean waters and thunderstorms. These beasts are often seen in tropical coast lines, such as Florida and some of the Southern States in the U.S.

What are tornadoes?

A tornado is similar to that of a hurricane, especially in the shape of each. However, the tornado is a violent natural disaster where air and debris are involved, rather than water. Further, the tornado can sometimes be attached to the base of a thunderstorm, where it is “fueled.”
